The Woodlands are headed by a large wolf, Neugdae, who never gained anthropomorphization and has continuously gone on to absorb more reishi to increase his Reiryoku, increasing his size but never giving him any sort of human-like features other than the ability to fully speak.

He reigns over the woodlands and all beasts who would reside in it: Bears, wolves, squirrels, badgers, deer, etc etc. They are a pack who tend to fight in groups and help each other rather than try to fight alone. Their loyalty runs deep and they believe highly in friendship.
