These "Souls" are not within the soul stream themselves and are man-made. Through the advents of science, the power that had once come from the Soul King is not replicable at at much lower capacity within these modified souls.

Whether it is by combining multiple souls together in order to form a new one, or if it is simply copying a soul onto another. These souls are the core of the being.

If that core is destroyed, so is the person. Their soul doomed to never join the soul stream again as it disappears into nothingness.
